The History of Wargaming Project Home Page
|
Wargaming is the art and science of recreating simulations of warfare through the ages.
This site includes details of the annual Innovation in Wargames Conference; an event dedicated to
testing, experimenting and developing all sorts of wargames.
The military have used a large number of wargames over the years. While wargamers know of some of them, they have traditionally been difficult to locate. This site aims to bring some of the best into the public domain and sell them at low-cost. Naval wargaming represents warfare on the high seas. This section includes the early classics, the Fred Jane Naval Wargame (1912) and the Fletcher Pratt (1943) game. The Classic Toy soldier sections includes rules that were not used by the military, but have added something to the modern hobby of wargaming.
